word processorA word processor is a software application that is used to produce, edit and format mainly text based documents.

Images can be included in word processed documents but if you have a large number of images then you might be better to consider using a DTP application.

What tasks would you do with a word processor?
  • Letters - business and personal
  • Memos
  • Faxes
