2. Implementation methods
Once a decision has been made to move over to a new system, the next activity is to implement it.
In terms of the System Life Cycle approach, this is the 'Implementation' phase of the project.
Typical activities will include
- installing new hardware
- installing software across the company
- setting up data sets ready for use
- training everyone on the new system
- backing up existing data in case of a problem
